1.Test Package Loading Requirements
1.1 Loading Quantity
The freezer compartment should be loaded to 75% of its maximum capacity, with an appropriate number of test packages to ensure the test meets the standard requirements.
1.2 Test Package Layout
When loading, the test packages should be arranged in a pyramid or tiered formation to allow for correct placement of temperature sensors (thermocouples). Sufficient gaps should be left between the packages to ensure proper air circulation.
2. Air Circulation Requirements
2.1 Air Gap
The air gap around the test packages should be maintained between 15 mm and 40 mm (1/2 to 1-1/2 inches) to ensure uniform air circulation during the test.
2.2 Optimizing Air Circulation
To ensure proper air circulation between the test packages and between the test packages and the freezer walls, there should be no excessive obstacles blocking the airflow.
3. Placement of Load in the Freezer Compartment
3.1 Placing test Packages
The test packages should be evenly distributed within the freezer compartment to allow the thermocouples to accurately measure the temperature at the center of the packages. At the same time, ensure the arrangement of the test packages does not interfere with the airflow.
3.2 Using Cartons for Loading Assistance
To facilitate the loading of the freezer compartment, some of the load can be made up of cartons containing individual packages. It is important to ensure the cartons do not obstruct the placement of temperature sensors or interfere with the air circulation.
4. Preventing Test Package Shifting
4.1 Securing Load Packages
To prevent shifting of the load packages during the test, it is recommended to use small non-thermally conductive grids with spacers. The grid should be in contact with the freezer liner to secure the load packages without affecting air circulation.
